I am a solutions focused marriage and family therapist, helping my clients get the results they seek. Whether you have relationship issues, suffer from chronic health problems or have experienced personal loss, I can support you in moving through your immediate situation so that you can confidently approach the future.

My specialties are relationship and couples counseling, loss and grief therapy and working with people who experience anxiety and depression. I also work with clients who have chronic health issues, caregivers to those with health issues,
people who are healing from narcissistic abuse and clients dealing with trauma.

Practical Life And Work Experience

Along with a strong clinical background, I have deep, practical life and work experience. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the corporate sector for one of the leading international executive search firms. This experience gave me tremendous insight into the special challenges of significant life transitions. My warmth, empathy and sense of compassion help my clients see their situation with more clarity.

I earned an undergraduate degree from U.C. Davis and a teaching credential from U.C. Berkeley. After spending more than 25 years in the corporate sector, I decided to become a Marriage and Family Therapist and obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University of California.

Prior to entering private practice, I spent five years working with individuals, couples, children and families at the Dominican University of California Counseling Center and Catholic Charities of Marin County. Additionally, I worked at Family Services Agency of Marin and served as part of their Substance Abuse Recovery Program Team. I was trained by and volunteered with the Marin County Suicide Prevention and Crisis Hotline.

Certifications and Associations

I am a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Specialist, a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and am a certified EMDR practitioner and a member EMDR International Association. I serve as a member of the alumni board of Dominican University of California. My office is in San Rafael, California and I work with clients throughout Marin County, Sonoma County, San Francisco and the East Bay. As I am licensed in California, I can conduct telehealth sessions throughout the state.
